What if I 301 a page to another?

Hi dude.
I bought an expired domain.
This expired domain have multiple backlinks. Backlinks doesn't link only to homepage. Backlinks also links various page was existing on the old site.
So, what will happen if I make a 301 redirect from the page that doesn't exist anymore and I point that on another page of my site? Is it a good or bad thing?
