Some PBN Packages in marketplace aren't expired high DA domains but have spam links?

I've noticed there are two types of PBN links for sale in the market place. The first one is hard to find; blogs that are made from real expired domains with authority backlinks. These are the high quality ones and hard to find.

Second are blogs that just have thousands of spam backlinks when you plug them into ahrefs... and you see all kinds of junk.. some are relative new sites...

I guess both can be classified as PBN's but the first is more high quality I would imagine?

Also, it seems like people are buying links blindly without inquiring as to what type of backlinks the PBN's have.. is it an expired domain with real links or something with thousands of spam links.... It seems like people care more about DA but how does a high DA of a new blog with thousands of spam links compare to that of an expired domain with legit links?

My competitors who are dominating on the first page in competitive markets all have the first.... but it's hard to find them in the marketplace.

What is your opinion on this? Do you care what kind of backlinks these pbn's have (if you are buying and don't have your own)?

Am I the only one who likes to check backlinks of so called pbn's very carefully in ahrefs to see what type of links they have?
